Job Description
As a Day Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for inspections, repairs, adjustments and maintenance of all related equipment. You will also be involved in continuous improvement projects within the Plant. As we are a 24/7 operation, there may be instances where you are required to work outside your core hours to ensure the safety of employees and the manufacturing process. The role is Monday - Friday, days. This role will involve working in a variety of environments around site; it is not a workshop-based role and areas you will be working include confined spaces, heights, outside, shop floor, and office areas. You should have: Safety and safe working practices as your number one priority Experience in engineering in a production/manufacturing environment Experience utilizing hand and power tools, including but not limited to grinder, drill press, caliper, micrometer, protractor, gauges, wrenches, chisels, files and scrapers Be a qualified mechanically biased engineer An FLT licence (though training will be provided) Hold IPAF certification Sound attention to detail ensuring right fix, first time and ensure areas you have worked in are left tidy and safe Collaborative approach as you will be required to work across Departments Qualifications
