Mechanical Engineer

to join our team in Birmingham. This role focuses on designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for automotive applications, with exposure to

automation technologies

and control systems integration.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test mechanical components and systems for automotive applications, including powertrains, chassis, and manufacturing equipment.

Collaborate with electrical and automation engineers to support the integration of mechanical systems with

basic PLC-controlled machinery .

Use CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications.

Conduct feasibility studies, mechanical analysis, and prototyping for new designs.

Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems during development and production phases.

Ensure designs meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Document project progress, prepare technical reports, and maintain design documentation.

Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the

automotive industry .

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Understanding of basic automation and control systems (PLC exposure is a plus).

Experience with design validation, testing, and quality assurance processes.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills: Exposure to robotics or automated machinery integration.

Basic understanding of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley).

Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing) and FEA tools.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and DFMEA processes.
