Geotechnical Engineer Our client is a rapidly expanding geotechnical design consultancy, part of one of the UK’s leading specialist ground engineering contractors, offering a range of additional services. Due to continued expansion and an abundant pipeline of works, our client wishes to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to plan, prioritise, and manage site-based field testing and laboratory works. You will work on multiple schemes simultaneously, with responsibilities including various geotechnical testing activities in the field, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on results, and proposing appropriate methodologies for ground treatment or foundation techniques based on soil conditions. The Role Supervision of site-based testing, including soil sampling, and reporting on results. Collect and organize data to produce reports for internal teams and clients. Manage the timely delivery of all assigned responsibilities across multiple sites and projects. Input to proposal writing, interpretative reporting, and factual report writing. Develop and maintain professional relationships to maximize project success. Conduct site visits, assessments, and surveys, including client meetings to optimize proposals. Ensure all technical works comply with relevant standards, codes, and quality procedures. The Person At least 2-3 years of practical work experience. Ability to manage and deliver accountabilities on time and within budget. Combines site work with office or lab-based technical duties. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with relevant technical industry requirements/regulations. Excellent numerical skills, including data interpretation. IT literacy with Microsoft packages.
