I am very pleased to be working with an extremely reputable and market leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand the design team. The company manufactures

bespoke special purpose machinery

and is based in

South Manchester.

As an

electrical design engineer , you will be working alongside mechanical design and controls engineers to design bespoke automation machinery. You will be utilising your skills and experience to comply with all relevant UK and international standards, creating required technical documentation including functional design specifications, bill of materials, and electrical drawings. You will also play a key role in departmental and company continuous improvements.

Experience in the following Preferred:

Extensive experience with electrical design software, preferably EPLAN. Knowledge of Sistema. Extensive experience with hand calculations for drive systems, electrical loadings, and current ratings. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Willingness to travel occasionally (within the UK and abroad). Preferably a history of electrical design for industries such as food, automotive, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals. An understanding and experience of UKCA/CE Technical file creation including carrying out risk assessments. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and vacuum systems and specification. Ability to deal with a broad range of stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Always demonstrate respect, integrity, trust, and professionalism in interactions with all colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

Package:

£40k - £50k (depending on industry knowledge/experience) 38 hours per week Flexible working hours Early finish on a Friday 25 days holiday Bespoke products & exciting, varied projects Opportunities to develop a wide range of skills Low turnover of staff and a positive/friendly company culture
