£49,610 - £55,247 + Company Car / Allowance + Benefits You will be part of our Transmissions delivery team who are responsible for managing individual projects; including sub-contracts, coordinating resources and technical support; with a brief to ensure on-time delivery within defined budgets, without compromise on safety or quality. Responsibilities will include: Reporting to the Project/Site Manager (project dependent) on all day-to-day commercial and operational issues. Responsible to Operations Manager on all commercial, operational, and technical delivery issues. Ensure Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Quality Plans are in place for all operational sites and contribute to the development of policies and procedures as may be required. Contribute experience, knowledge and management support to the Supply Chain functions with respect to, but not restricted to, plant and equipment allocation and utilisation; procurement of PPE, plant and equipment; all transport and fleet issues relating to the Transmission Networks business. Principal contact for correspondence and meetings with third parties e.g., surveys, design, environmental consultants, utilities, services, etc. Work closely with the Head of Operations/Resource Managers to co-ordinate and allocate appropriate resource levels across projects to ensure efficient utilisation of the resource pool. Close liaison with Site Manager/Project Manager to ensure compliance with and delivery of contractual obligations. Work with the Planning and Commercial teams to monitor project progress and recommend changes as required. Capture events impacting costs and programmes in order to timely update project status and forecasts. Ensure contract changes/compensation events are captured, ensuring that impact evaluation on costs and schedules is undertaken with the Commercial team. Using the implemented project control mechanism, improve the efficiency and enhance the profitability of projects, including debt management. Contribute to the business requirements for budgeting and forecasting. In accordance with our certification to the ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards, each employee will comply with and contribute to the effective implementation of the current policies. Skills & Knowledge Requirements: Ability to communicate with and support cross-departmental initiatives to maximise efficiency and productivity whilst building confidence and respect from each department. Ability to challenge the norm and drive innovation into all that we do. Ability to develop budgets and forecasts, plan and programme resources and activities and implement KPIs across numerous projects in order to deliver projects efficiently. Ability to demonstrate effective prioritisation, time management and workload planning skills.
