Nuclear Site Safety Case Engineer

12 month contract (Inside IR35) - £70.90 per hour umbrella / £61.54 PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay) Hybrid working – circa once per month on site Job Role: Assist in the development of the nuclear site safety case Hazard identification and analysis Deterministic assessment Probabilistic assessment Support ongoing periodic review of safety activities Support ongoing regulatory discussions with ONR/DNSR Interface with engineering substantiation team Key Experience Required: Degree in engineering or equivalent Significant experience of Safety Case development techniques and practices - in Nuclear or other high hazard industry. Experience with Naval Nuclear programme ideal but not essential Safety case authoring Understanding of modern standards in a nuclear safety case Knowledge of nuclear safety cases and their application to submarines would be an advantage Has experience of working within maritime, defence or safety engineering industries Qualifications and Skills: Degree in engineering or equivalent Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders The ability to write accurately, concisely and logically The ability to influence others in a challenging environment
