Highway Engineer
Are you ready to drive innovation and lead impactful engineering projects in one of the UK's most dynamic cities? We are looking for a Highway Engineer to join our clients Engineering Design Team in Bristol.
Role: Highway Engineer
Purpose of the Job: Lead the design and delivery of engineering projects from inception to completion. Your innovative solutions will be pivotal in supporting the clients urban transport objectives.
Key Responsibilities: ·Manage and deliver complex construction projects in an urban environment. ·Conduct initial, interim, and final surveys and investigations. ·Complete designs, calculations, specifications, plans, estimates, and reports using CAD and specialist software. ·Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. ·Prepare, issue, update, and close statutory notices as per legal requirements. ·Liaise with statutory undertakers and other departments to manage conflicts and coordinate delivery. ·Oversee financial and contract management to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery. · Additional Responsibilities: ·Lead project design teams and deliver high-value construction projects. ·Provide specialist technical designs and guidance for multi-project programmes. ·Foster the professional development of yourself and colleagues, including mentoring towards professional accreditation. ·Contribute to the development of services, policies, and practices.
