Sample Receipt and Goods-In Administrator

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with relevant experience to join our Laboratory and Goods In team. Candidates should be organised, confident, and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. We are looking for people who can work as part of a team and take pride in getting it right. This is a permanent, full-time role. As a Laboratory and Goods In Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the function and efficiency of both the Chemistry and Microbiology departments. Ensure all customer samples and chemicals are booked in accurately and efficiently and under the correct environmental conditions. Ensure customers are quickly notified of receipt of samples in a professional manner and to the high standard of customer service. Report and investigate missing items or discrepancies with appropriate actions to mitigate loss to the business. Order and book in consumables / place orders. Process delivered parcels as part of the Goods In function; manual work is involved. Respond to email and telephone enquiries, sending parcels or letters as needed. Support the wider inventory team and laboratory technicians when required. Ensure compliance with security, health and safety regulations at all times. Follow the company’s SOPs. Demonstrate strong IT skills (MS Packages; Excel is an advantage, Outlook). Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills. Maintain keen attention to detail and data entry. Be adaptable and meticulous. Be proactive with the ability to problem-solve. Be highly organised with the ability to manage workloads efficiently.
