We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate, with a minimum 2.1 Hons degree in a technical subject with a hands-on and can-do attitude to develop, manage, and run an extrusion line, as well as develop wider Production Management skills. We will also welcome applications from candidates who fall outside of our graduate programme. These candidates will have a background in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. Preferably with extrusion experience but not essential, as training will be provided. Established in 1994, Dunster House Ltd is a growing family-run international business, currently employing approximately 450 people across our 11 UK sites. This job is based out of our Huntly branch – AB54 4PS. The right individual will be able to demonstrate problem-solving and have strong personal traits, such as assertiveness and initiative, as well as administration and time management skills to succeed. With training, the right candidate will be able to become our next team leader: Duties to include:

Assistant to the Production Manager Manage production in the absence of the Production Manager Setup/operation/shutdown of the PVC extrusion line and peripheral machinery Coordinating with the Maintenance Engineer during problem-solving, breakdowns, and improvement efforts Identify faults and carry out basic maintenance activities Requirements:

Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship Experience of working in a production environment is preferred but not essential Aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the extrusion process, although full training will be provided Ability to be flexible and work without supervision Competent in problem solving, planning, and decision making with the ability to work under pressure, in a quality and results-driven environment Positive approach with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in both verbal and written forms Hours: Average 40 hours per week (initially normal working hours but moving to 12-hour day shifts) 29 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays increases with length of service Starting Salary £27,000 - £35,000 dependant on experience You will be empowered to make decisions and to grasp all career path opportunities that may arise.
