Join a dynamic cross-functional team dedicated to designing, building, and supporting innovative technical products and services that drive esure’s ambitious digital transformation. What You’ll Be Doing: Collaborate as a key member of a high-performing Agile team, crafting the future of esure’s digital journey. Design and develop pioneering digital and technical products to improve the experience of our customers and business partners. Help define the technical direction for the products you support, ensuring alignment with business goals. Write secure, tested, and high-quality code that performs at scale. Participate in second-line support for applications and platforms, including occasional out-of-hours support. Contribute to the rollout of our Enterprise Agile approach and support esure’s ongoing transformation journey. Proactively find opportunities to improve technical quality, streamline processes, and reduce technical debt. Continuously improve ways of working by challenging existing processes and proposing innovative solutions. Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and foster collaboration across teams and departments. Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: Experience as a developer in a scaled Agile environment, ideally working with delivery partners and third-party applications. Proficiency in

Java

and

Spring Boot

is essential. Familiarity with the Spring Framework and tools like

Apache Kafka

is a bonus. Knowledge of financial billing domains/systems. Hands-on experience with

microservices architecture ,

database programming , and

event streaming

in a cloud-based environment. Full-stack development experience is beneficial but not essential. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a way that’s clear and engaging for non-technical audiences. Proficiency in applying standard methodologies in code quality, such as continuous integration, unit testing, and peer reviews. Eagerness to research and adopt new programming tools and techniques quickly. Experience developing and scaling high-traffic websites or critically important business systems. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, especially

BDD frameworks , is a plus. Previous experience working with core insurance billing platforms, such as the

EIS insurance platform , is advantageous but not mandatory.
