Production & Logistics Planner
to be responsible for producing the daily production plans, the daily plan for all outgoing finished products, and all associated paperwork. The Production & Logistics Planner is also responsible for undertaking all of the required production administration activities. Completion of all relevant planning, logistics, and administration activities on a daily basis. This includes playing an active part in carrying out these activities: Producing all daily production plans accurately and on time – volumes, run rates, WIP etc. – and providing them to the Production team. Producing daily outloading logistics accurately and on time – customer depot orders, pick sheets, ASNs, and load manifests, and distributing them to Dispatch. Booking of vehicles through online portals and producing load plans and delivery notes. Ensuring any shortages are communicated to the wider business appropriately. Ensuring maximum utilization of fruit within Production. Sending weekly and daily staff requests to agencies as required. Authorizing transport invoices. Keeping planning errors to a minimum. Planning and prioritizing daily operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand. Addressing issues when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption. Obtaining, collating, and communicating output information (service level, staff numbers, waste, overpacks, WIP adherence, etc.). Liaising with 3rd party haulage companies regarding collection times and traffic issues to ensure 100% service level is achieved. Completion of Customer Issue Log. Training Planning and Logistics Administrators to conduct all activities to the required standard. Compiling weekly data to support Sales Admin investigations of overs/shorts, etc. Maintaining records and archives to support audits. Attending daily Production meetings – shift handover, 9am, Midday huddle. Completion of dispatched pallet and dolly spreadsheets. Sunday-Monday-Thursday-Friday (4 days per week, 44hr) Hours:
a week by week mix of 05:30am - 17:30pm and 07:30am - 19:30pm Starting Salary:
£28,000 p/a + Salary increase after probation* *Salary increase is subject to on-track training and development
