ES&O Hardware Engineering team in Energy Storage & Optimization Business Unit is looking for an Electrical Engineer. Preferred location for this position is in Canada, Toronto area. Second option would be in Finland, Vaasa. This role will be a hybrid position, requiring the successful candidate to be onsite at least two days per week. Responsibilities: Design electrical schematics, single-line diagrams in EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical for energy storage system, including AC Auxiliary power, DC power, control, communication and site-wiring. Implement and configure EPLAN, that to include creating schematics, BOM, and wiring diagram for different product options. Configure and validate control panels for Battery Energy Storage System, that to include component selection such as breakers, fuses and relays for DC and AC circuits, and auxiliary load calculation. Develop, improv and maintain product documentation package. Design product to meet customer’s requirements globally. Develop and Maintain product BOM, documentation, electrical drawings, electrical calculations, datasheets and instructions. Collaborate in global team environment with various stakeholders. Able to act as product expert and support field personnel. Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree required; graduate degree preferred. 3+ years of electrical engineering experience. Experience with electrical drawing and configuration management best practices. Experience with electrical design tools like EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical or similar. Ability to understand and interpret electrical circuits up to 480 Volt AC and 1500 Volt DC. Understand and able to analyze short circuit currents/arc flash calculation. Able to review technical project specification and interconnection requirements, and develop/calculate settings and configuration. Problem solving and innovative mindset. Maintain positive working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates, and vendors in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal English and interpersonal skills. Able to work with global team from different backgrounds, and in different time zones. Willing to travel 20% of the time.
