As a Construction Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Your expertise will bridge the gap between design and construction, ensuring that our works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities:

Technical Knowledge:

Maintain a strong working knowledge of IFC Drawings, Specifications, Technical Standards, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Mass Haul quantities and destinations for each earthworks asset within your section of work. Translate this knowledge into accurate on-site construction, minimizing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and rework through effective communication with Works Managers and Foremen.

Defect Management:

Promptly identify and report any defects to the Senior Engineer. Propose corrective actions and collaborate with the Client to implement solutions efficiently. Foster a learning culture within the team to prevent recurring mistakes.

Safety Documentation:

Assist in producing high-quality safety documentation (Risk Assessments and Method Statements - RAMS) promptly. Ensure paperwork is signed off to facilitate uninterrupted work progress.

Permit Compliance:

Support foremen and supervisors in receiving the Permit to Break Ground. Regularly review work areas and services to prevent service strikes.

Quality Assurance:

Complete Quality Assurance forms for each work section, accurately reflecting as-built construction. Obtain timely sign-off from the client.

Data Management:

Review daily Allocation Sheets. Highlight additional works, missing items, and address poor record-keeping. Provide accurate records to the Commercial team.

Mass Haul Coordination:

Collaborate with the Mass Haul Manager. Assist with quantities, locations, and material types based on day-to-day activities.

Team Leadership:

Supervise apprentice and work-placement engineers. Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring efficient time management. Motivate junior team members by assigning challenging responsibilities.

Survey Support:

Occasionally assist the survey team during site surveys. Ensure construction progress is not hindered due to the absence of a surveyor.

Qualifications:

- A-Levels or equivalent; A in Mathematics, B in Physics or Chemistry - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in construction site engineering. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. How to Apply:
