Are you looking to be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering outstanding places and spaces that create lasting value for clients and communities for generations to come? Join us for a Summer/Year Out Placement in our Glasgow office, where you’ll be given interesting and complex design work, with full support from the team around you. From day one, you’ll be working on real projects, giving you understanding of the wide variety of our work and opportunities. You’ll gain experience supporting the Building Services Team on projects, ensuring they are delivered to the right scope of time, quality and budget; on design preparation, reports, and contract documents; and when liaising with Clients and Contractors. Our projects span the full breadth of the built environment, providing opportunity to enhance your technical skills and explore your own skills and interests. The role will focus on delivering portfolios of work across the private and public sector; including education, defence, healthcare, pharmaceutical and commercial. Your team will support you in taking ownership of your project work, sharing knowledge and providing support as you take on responsibility. About You

Our ideal Building Services Engineer Placement must have: Be working towards a Degree in an equivalent professional qualification, 2:1 preferable Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements Experience using Relux and AutoCad Good written and verbal communication – able to discuss work, and communicate effectively to work collaboratively as part of a team. It would be nice for you to have: An interest in building Services Engineering Great problem-solving skills. Good self-motivation. Ability to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks About Us
