The Pulsar Measurement Test Engineer is responsible for the testing of printed circuit boards and assemblies to ensure that the quality and performance meets specifications. Your Responsibilities
Testing PCBs and complete assemblies to specifications. Fault finding to component level. Ensuring instructions and documents are kept up to date and that test results are maintained as required. Ensuring that product is handled and tested in accordance with company policies, including appropriate storage and anti-static precautions. Ensuring product is worked on according to work schedules provided and on time according to defined deadlines. Ensuring that product is recorded correctly on and through the company ERP system (Epicor). Providing yield statistics to the Process Engineering department and offering technical recommendations where appropriate. Implementing new processes and generating instructions and documents in accordance with job requirements, when necessary. Training other employees on techniques and specific methods to ensure a broad level of skill within the department. Making recommendations to the Production Supervisor of any training deficiencies. Communicating any testing issues to the Production Supervisor. Travel
Limited but as required to fulfill business demands. Your Background
BTEC ONC/HNC or City & Guilds in electronics. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment. Proven experience in electronic production & assembly. Able to identify electrical component types. Familiar with tools commonly used in electrical and electronic testing, e.g.: Bench power supplies, Multi Meters, Oscilloscopes. Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Able to read circuit diagrams and fault find to component level. Knowledge of using PIC programming tools and similar devices. Able to create/edit technical instructions. Good people skills, team member and builder, with the ability to motivate and empower others. Possess an exceptional work ethic with the ability to work flexibly and prioritize to meet deadlines. Soldering experience would be beneficial. Our Pledge
