An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (minimum 3 – 4 years experience) to join a highly successful and well-established steelwork engineering business to cover construction projects near Derby. Quantity Surveyor Duties Include:

Work from the office together with frequent visits to construction sites around Derby. Conduct cost control and cost estimation for construction projects. Prepare and analyse project budgets, including material, labour, and equipment costs. Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals. Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities. Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used. Prepare reports and presentations on cost analysis findings. Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying. Previous experience working as a QS for 3 – 4 years. Ability to read drawings/specs. Knowledge of cost control principles and techniques. Experience using cost estimation software/tools. Good communication skills and attention to detail. On Offer for the Quantity Surveyor:
