Sheffield Business: Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.

Position of Production Planner • Monitor and maintain production schedule. • Make amendments to production plan within a fixed window. • Production Planner will raise works orders and work to lists. • Support in the creation of new parts. • Create and amend routes, BOM’s in factory master. • Liaise with customers as required. • Gather information as requested for meetings and relevant stakeholders. • Support in subcontract order management. • Support in any ad-hoc tasks as required. • Participate in weekly schedule review with production to review for potential issues and highlight important orders. • Provide stores with weekly pick lists for material to the shop floor, parts expected from production. • Resolve any works order issues including qty, bookings etc. • Lead weekly planning meeting. • Support and maintain the Value Add data sheet. • Analyse historical sales data and customer forecasts to develop accurate demand forecasts for products. • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather market intelligence and customer feedback to enhance demand forecasting accuracy. • Evaluate and analyse inventory levels to prevent stockouts, minimize carrying costs, and optimize customer satisfaction. • Identify potential risks and opportunities in demand planning and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure optimal product availability throughout the supply chain network. • Participate in cross-functional projects related to demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization. • Review capacity and report on any constraints or opportunities. Person Spec for Production Planner • Highly motivated individual and excellent attention to detail. •

Experience in collecting data and reports. •

1 year Administraton experience or within a supporting role. • Educated to a Grade C or above in English and Mathematics at GCSE Level or equivalent. • Ability to manage own time and workload effectively. • Experience with a manufacturing environment. •

Experience working with planning systems would be beneficial.
