Environmental Protection Lead Officer

Chelmsford City Council is seeking a full-time Lead Officer for our Environmental Protection team. We are looking for a professionally qualified and skilled officer who is competent and confident in the areas of environmental protection and pollution control. The successful applicant will be managing our dedicated team in their increasingly busy and demanding day-to-day duties, as well as managing a practical personal caseload and assisting in the management and development of the service. The Environmental Protection Lead Officer will deal with more complex environmental protection issues, give technical support to other team members, and advise service managers, Members, and partners on key issues. The successful applicant will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player, possessing excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
