Body Structure Sealing Engineer
to join our dynamic engineering team. This hybrid position, based out of our offices in Warwick, Bicester, or Guildford, provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of innovative sealing solutions for our cutting-edge vehicle body structures. As a Body Structure Sealing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our vehicles meet the highest standards for weather resistance, durability, and overall quality. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality control, to develop sealing systems that enhance vehicle performance and longevity. What you will do:
Design and develop static sealing solutions for body structures, ensuring they meet performance targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sealing systems with other vehicle components. Conduct testing and validation of sealing materials and designs to ensure optimal performance under various conditions. Evaluate and select appropriate materials for sealing applications based on environmental impact, cost, and performance metrics. Troubleshoot and resolve sealing-related issues during the prototype and production phases. Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience in sealing technology, preferably within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of material properties and their applications in sealing systems. Proficiency in CAD software and engineering analysis tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
