Established and Highly Successful Electronic Design and Assembly Company with a Consistently Expanding Client Base are Seeking to Add to their Team with the Recruitment of an Embedded Software Engineer. Fantastic Career Opportunity to Work with a Collaborative Team of Versatile and Knowledgeable Embedded Software Engineers and Electronics Engineers, on a Wide Range of Interesting Projects. You will be Actively Encouraged and Rewarded to Present Ideas and Suggestions for New Products, Product Improvements, plus Cost and Efficiency Improvements. This is a Role that will Suit an Engineer who has Solid Experience in Embedded Firmware/Software Development for Industrial and Commercial Products. The Ideal Candidate will Enjoy Learning on a Daily Basis whilst Resolving Design Problems with Innovative Ideas. ROLE INCLUDES Developing and Maintaining Firmware/Software for New and Existing Projects. Input in All Phases of Design Life Cycle eg Requirements Capture, Implementation, Test, Validation and Deployment. Liaison with Clients on Project Progress and as Necessary Make Site Visits. Effectively Utilise Software Source Control (SVN) and Issue Tracking Systems (Trac). Minimum 4 Years of Writing Embedded C/C++ for Microprocessors and/or Micro Controllers. Proven Track Record in Delivering Software for Embedded Products. Competent in Debugging Code at a Hardware Level, Using Digital Analysers, Meters, Scopes etc. Full Software Development Lifecycle Experience. Excellent Written and Spoken English. Full, Clean Driving License. Experience with FreeRTOS or Linux is Advantageous. Source Code Control (SVN and Trac). Range of Processors eg IMX6, IMXRT, ARM (ST, Atmel, Renesas), Atmel AVR. Hardware Debugging Skills. REMUNERATION £55K Plus Benefits Package.
