We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Intensive Home Treatment & Crisis Assessment Team, which is (the community-facing) part of the Adolescent Tier 4 CAMHS service, based at Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital in Staplehurst, Kent, TN12 0ER. This is a new, substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs with 7.5 PA DCC and 2.5 SPA. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible. You will work alongside a full-time Specialty Doctor (currently out to recruitment) within this service, for whom you will provide monthly supervision. Job description

Job responsibilities:

You will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Kent and Medway. Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team. Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals. Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement. Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative. Work alongside a full-time Specialty Doctor (currently out to recruitment) within this service, as well as the inpatient medical workforce which consists of 1wte Consultant Psychiatrist (Dr John Watts) and 2wte Specialty Doctors (both out to recruitment) and 1wte Senior trainee. Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies. Person Specification
