You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical systems and components in process engineering projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles, cost analysis, project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to deliver high-quality proposals that meet client requirements. Key Responsibilities

Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support during the proposal phase. Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses. Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals to clients and stakeholders. Compile and review technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and project schedules. Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with project objectives. Ensure all proposals comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Identify and assess potential risks associated with proposals and develop mitigation strategies. Participate in post-proposal reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices. Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software. Monitor and report on project costs and progress, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule. Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts. Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed. Co-ordinate the compilation of multi-disciplined engineering projects. Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices. Skills and Experience

Strong technical writing and communication skills. Proficiency in process simulation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience with Hygienic process pipework. Vessel manufacture estimating will be a requirement. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in process engineering or a related field, with a focus on proposal development. Specific Qualifications

Full UK driving license. Hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. What we offer
