Lead Quality Engineer Opportunity for a Lead Quality Engineer with strong systems quality experience to join a highly successful manufacturing business in a key senior role. As Lead Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in this established yet continually evolving business and have the ability to really impact on quality. It’s a key role supporting quality systems and also delivering a robust quality product through your use of lean quality tools, supplier development, and auditing acumen. You will also have responsibility for leading, inspiring, and directing a team within Quality to maximize performance and development and supporting both the internal and external audit programmes. As Lead Systems Quality Engineer, your key accountabilities will encompass: Ensuring compliance with the company’s procedures and quality systems. Analysing Cost of Quality - Measure and report on Quality as well as validate capacity performance within the manufacturing area and supply chain by setting clear key performance indicators. Undertaking internal audits and managing external accreditation and supplier audits. Leadership of Supplier Development activities together with purchasing. To succeed in this varied role, you will likely be HND + educated in an engineering or related discipline (or with equivalent industry experience) and have an in-depth background and knowledge of quality standards and systems gained within a highly regulated environment, ideally automotive, aerospace, or closely related production/manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will also have: Proven experience developing and maintaining ISO or AS9100/9102 or TS16949 quality systems. Track record in supplier development/supplier capability assessment to support NPI projects/sourcing activities. Extensive knowledge of quality assurance tools, techniques, and methodologies. Working knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM), FMEA, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), 8D, Fishbone Analysis, etc. Please contact Alison Kemp for further details or apply via the link.
