NOV is looking for a MPD Wellsite Supervisor to join their team based in Aberdeen. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) group within NOV as MPD Wellsite Supervisor . We are seeking the industry's brightest minds to further enhance our successful MPD business in the Eastern Hemisphere. As part of NOV’s Wellsite Services Group within the Wellbore Technologies segment, you will not only demonstrate the technical knowledge required but also the ability to manage an MPD operation from start to finish, utilizing NOV best practices to achieve our clients’ drilling objectives. Key Duties & Responsibilities: On-Site Supervision: Oversee MPD operations, including equipment preparations, data acquisition, log , Quality Control (QC), and service delivery to the customer. Operations Management: Safely and efficiently manage on-site operations and lead field personnel to meet business objectives in full compliance. Client Interface: Work closely with the Driller and Company Representative to ensure operating parameters are within MPD equipment specifications. Maintenance Records: Keep detailed records of all field maintenance and communicate repair/maintenance reports with the MPD Operations Supervisor. Safety Coordination: Ensure safety during rig up and rig processes for each well, coordinating both equipment and personnel safety. Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all Q&HSE procedures and assist the crew in implementing these during operational projects. Qualifications: Essential: HND/Diploma/Degree in a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical) Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with expertise in MPD/UBD/PMCD operations on Jack-Up/Semi-Sub/Drillships Functional knowledge of current flow modeling software Ability to interpret process flow diagrams and technical drawings Strong understanding of surface and sub-surface oil/gas field development Proficient in risk assessment and mitigation processes Desirable: MSc/BSc Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Experience in drilling High-Temperature High-Pressure (HTHP) and Extended Reach Drilling (ERD) wells Familiarity with MPD specific software such as AutoCAD, Drillbench, Drillsoft, Safevision, etc. Strong leadership attributes, including the ability to manage a crew, delegate tasks effectively, communicate clearly at the rig site, and authority to stop operations and resolve issues through a dedicated management of change process What NOV can offer you on top of a competitive salary: Health & Wellbeing: Private Medical Insurance |Employee Assistance Programme Finance & Protection: Pension plan |Income protection |Life Assurance |Personal Accident Other flexible benefits available for you and your family through salary sacrifice: Dental Insurance |Healthcare Cash Plan |Partner Life Assurance |Critical Illness |Retail vouchers |Gym membership |Cycle to work |Travel Insurance This role is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in the Oil & Gas industry with a company committed to innovation and excellence.
