Digital Architect , you will be responsible for owning solution designs and content. You will be responsible for architectures across a wide variety of Digital product applications. Working closely with assurance and security colleagues, you'll ensure all architectures and designs are compliant, ensuring we can maintain our trusted relationship with our customers. You'll be required to define architectures and input into designs, ensuring all teams have effective designs and, crucially, that everyone understands the architecture. You will be passionate about the technology market, and continuously researching and evolving your architectures. You will be highly aware of business requirements driving platform investment and shaping the platform to meet current and future business needs. What you'll be doing: Provide extensive hands-on architecture and technical leadership to support scalable application design and delivery. Take ownership of all aspects of application architecture within the Submarines Digital product portfolio, considering, in line with architectural and security standards, reference architectures and enterprise road maps. Form a close working relationship with other architects and security teams within Rolls-Royce to share best practice and continually learn. Form a strong and trusted relationship with agile DevOps teams, providing technical guidance and thought leadership during continuous delivery. To be the "brain" and see the entire Digital picture enabling exploitation of data and services across the organisation to more effectively model and simulate our Business. To converse directly or facilitate engagements with business communities to better understand business drivers for content development. Help to shape our Digital technology road maps ensuring your experience supports and enhances decisions made relating to the technology. Stay current with your understanding of the fast-changing technology market and ensure architectures align with current best practices. Who we are looking for: Professionally qualified Engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent, higher degree preferred) UK CEng (Chartered Engineer) or other national equivalent relevant to specialist subject area Member of a relevant professional body/institute A deep understanding of specialist subject and proven ability to influence key decision Understanding of Intellectual Property and Export Control requirements We're an equal opportunities employer.
