Project Engineer Mechanical / Electrical Contract 6-12 months Heavy industry / Manufacturing Overview : Are you a hands-on Project Engineer from a mechanical and electrical background looking to join a global leading business that prides itself on precision and innovation? This varied role will entail being a hands-on engineer within an expert team to manage and deliver projects within a timeline, maximizing process efficiency. This position involves leading and managing major projects to improve processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and budget requirements. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from design to implementation, while collaborating with various internal teams to support efficient operations. Responsibilities : Implement and improve plant processes and equipment. Ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards. Collaborate with teams to coordinate plant outages and manage changes. Solve technical issues independently and escalate complex challenges when necessary. Drive productivity improvement initiatives. Attributes required : Engineering degree or equivalent experience. Proven project engineering experience in heavy industry / manufacturing. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with software tools. Familiarity with safe work systems (e.g., Permit to Work, Risk Assessments). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience creating and adhering to project plans.
