WHAT TO EXPECT Join JLR as an AI Data Science Manager and play a key role in advancing our AI and data science initiatives! You will be instrumental in orchestrating the design and development of innovative solutions that drive efficiency and deliver measurable financial value. In this role, you will lead the execution of projects that align with our strategic goals, collaborating closely with various teams to identify new opportunities. You will provide expert guidance to stakeholders, manage diverse teams of data scientists, and ensure that our solutions maximize speed, scalability, and quality. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Collaborate with teams across the Information & Digital Technology organisation and the wider business to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Advise stakeholders on strategic decisions, including buy vs. make recommendations for technology solutions. Lead the design and development of in-house solutions, managing diverse teams of local and offshore JLR and third-party data scientists. Ensure that solutions leverage existing tools and reuse code and components defined in the AI strategy to enhance speed, scalability, and quality. Manage a team of data scientists by providing guidance, training, and mentorship. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering AI and Data Science projects that generate measurable financial value, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic oversight. Extensive experience in managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams of data scientists and technical professionals, including local and offshore members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Expertise in identifying AI and Data Science opportunities that align with business strategy, effectively developing their financial cases to secure stakeholder buy-in and support. Exceptional ability to engage with and advise stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships while providing clear, actionable recommendations that drive decision-making. Proficient in programming languages such as Python and SQL, with hands-on experience utilising cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure to develop and deploy AI solutions.
