The Company We have partnered with a well-known main contractor who has been successfully delivering projects for over 20 years. Originally set up as a commercial office fit-out business, the company has evolved over time and is now made up of multiple divisions, enabling them to undertake projects across various sectors (Office, Residential, Education, Life Sciences, Hospitality, and more). Their work now also covers more than just fit-out, with many projects involving major structural alterations and even complete demolition and new builds. With a headcount of over 200 people, made up of some of the industry's finest, the business has built up a reputation as one of the ‘go-to’ names for Central London works. The Role We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Project Lead to take ownership of a circa £25m heavy refurbishment project in Zone 1. Our client is seeking an individual who has previous experience delivering a project of a similar nature and can provide references (professional team or contractor) to qualify this. Sound commercial understanding (with QS support) and programme management will be crucial. As is the case with any heavy refurbishment project, particularly in Central London, taking a proactive approach and the ability to adapt will be key to ensuring the project remains on programme and on budget. Example of Project: An existing building will be taken back to shell & core and then re-fitted to CAT A standard for the commercial office space (retail areas will be left at S&C). This includes the demolition of the existing top floor, infill of the atrium over 4 floors, construction of new ground to 1st floor opening, fit-out of new landlord circulation, office amenity, and major services infrastructure to service all units. Two additional floors are to be added to provide additional lettable areas and a new rooftop with amenity space. The rear and side facades are to be replaced, with the Lower Marsh façade retained and renewed via the addition of stained brickwork, rendered bays, and replacement of all existing windows. Additionally, a new courtyard and extended office entrance will be formed to create a more visible entrance for users and guests. The Salary In return, our client is willing to offer a salary ranging from £80,000 - £100,000 + Travel Allowance & Healthcare, Pension.
