The role

G-Research is going through an exciting period of growth and transforming the way we run and build platforms. As part of our transformation, we are looking for a highly skilled engineer to join our expanding Core Compute Platform Engineering team.

As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will help grow the platform, owning its design and build, as well as being responsible for monitoring performance. You will help the team deliver a fully featured, secure platform and enable the business to deploy applications, which are critical to our success.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Enhancing our Kubernetes compute platform through diverse project contributions

Elevating platform reliability and user satisfaction, while improving integration with third-party solutions

Forging standards and best practices in partnership with platform and development teams, offering direct help for migrations and performing upgrades of key systems

Collaborating with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Kubernetes administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

Kubernetes development experience

Development skills in Python or Go

Ideally a Linux Engineering, DevOps, Networking or SRE background

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
