Earthstream are recruiting an Electrical Design Manager you'll be responsible for leading the delivery of detailed electrical design work packages within the industrial automation sector. The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical control systems, leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coach a team of Electrical and Hardware Design Engineers.
Collaborate with Business Development and Applications teams to support pre-sale technical efforts and develop cost estimation norms.
Work with Project Managers to ensure delivery plans are in place.
Manage resource allocation for Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design teams.
Improve and ensure compliance with Electrical Design processes and procedures.
Build and maintain supplier and sub-contractor relationships.
Create and enhance internal standards, templates, and best practices.
Collaborate with Manufacturing management to ensure alignment of processes and standards.
Recruit and develop engineering talent to meet business demands.
Audit quality and ensure delivery aligns with project requirements.
Provide technical direction and ensure compliance with legal and customer specifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education : Minimum BEng in Electrical Engineering.
Experience : worked in a relevant technical or managerial role.
Expertise : Electrical control systems.
Skills : Excellent communication (both oral and written), leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on attitude.
Personal Qualities : Team-oriented, proactive, adaptable, organized, and enthusiastic.
