JOB TITLE: Security Officer
LOCATION: The Potteries Centre
PAY RATE: £12.50 PER HOUR
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off (variable hours), 46 hours per week

As a Security Officer at ABM UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of security, preventing unauthorized access, and responding to any security incidents that may arise. In addition, you will contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for both employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized entry. Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems. Maintain a visible presence to deter and address any security concerns. Respond to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters. Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies, when necessary. Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors, answering inquiries and addressing concerns. Minimum Requirements
Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of security procedures and protocols. Valid SIA license and/or relevant certifications (CCTV, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc.). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations. Attention to detail and a high level of observation. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
