Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with good knowledge of fabricated products? Would you like to work in a business-critical role and on a challenging project? If so, then this would be a great opportunity for you. Part of a global group, my client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for an international client base. Investing heavily in growing the business, they are now expanding their manufacturing department and are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The objective of the Manufacturing Engineer is to support the implementation and running of a brand new fabrication cell to manufacture a new component. Once the cell is up and running, your role will then evolve into process improvement and product development. The responsibilities of this position will include: Define and procure jigs, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and lifting equipment. Lead and manage projects, taking responsibility for delivery, project planning, execution, and cost. Creation and maintenance of supporting documentation to include Manufacturing Routings, Layouts, and instructions. Creation of Control Plans, Process flow charts, PFMEA, standard operating procedures, and standard work. Define, perform, and implement investigations into non-conformance through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Some NC Programming. International and Local Travel to meet Suppliers. If you have the following experience, please consider applying: Good understanding of fabrication and machining processes. Experience of tooling design and specification/procurement. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques. CAPEX management would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills. Excellent problem-solving mindset. Different experience levels will be considered as long as the core knowledge can be evidenced. Must have the Right to Work in the UK without VISA sponsorship.
