Competitive + plenty of overtime available Due to growth and expansion here at Facultatieve Technologies, we have a number of openings for experienced Mechanical Engineers / Craftspersons. These are Mon to Fri (days) roles with overtime available for the successful candidates. Here at FT, we’re an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) making incineration and cremation machinery to the highest standards that are exported globally. Our machines are the pinnacle of our industry; as such, we’re looking for exceptional Mechanical Engineers who can not only follow engineering drawings but also have the ability to think on their feet as they adapt and tailor machined parts and problem-solve to ensure the machines are delivered to the highest standards. These roles aren’t simply assembly positions; as any engineer knows, you need to be able to overcome challenges and adapt quickly. These roles would be ideal for experienced Industrial / Installation Mechanical Fitters looking for a better work/life balance (home every night) or Mechanical Maintenance Engineers wanting to come away from working shifts without having to take a significant pay cut. The site here in Hunslet, with easy motorway access (M62 / M1 / A1), has a fantastic working environment and great team culture. There’s a real buzz around the shop floor. Essential Skills and Experience: Mechanical assembly of fabricated and machined parts according to engineering drawings and build instructions Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical assembly Mechanical Engineering qualification, desirable but not essential Able to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings Able to use power and hand tools with good dexterity Good communication skills with the ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions Able to work well using own initiative and equally as part of a team, showing self-motivation Able to follow all Company Policies and Procedures Ability to ensure work is completed in a timely and effective manner Flexible attitude when working to tight deadlines, showing commitment to
