Job Purpose:
The postholder will be accountable for standards and best practices in the scope of Building Systems Engineering as part of the Asset Management Team. The responsibilities of the role fall into the following three key accountabilities:
To develop and maintain standards in relation to Building Systems and assets, supported by external specialists where required, to deliver a fit for purpose estate that is aligned to support the delivery of the institutional strategic plan.
To provide technical advice and services in relation to Building Systems and assets including assuring standards and quality levels for projects, refurbishments, asset purchases and maintenance and have accountability for long term building condition, asset uptime and system resilience.
To support the Asset Manager in contributing to strategic matters affecting the directorate and University.
