Fire & Security Service Engineer - The Role
The role of a Service Engineer involves attending Service Calls, Installations, or Planned Maintenance visits on the following systems:
Fire Alarms (Addressable & Conventional - Advanced, CTEC, Gent, SMS, Morley)
Intruder Alarm (Galaxy or Pyronix)
CCTV (IP & Analogue - HIK or Dahua)
Access Control System (Paxton & Videx)
Your normal hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm (Total 37.5hr Contract). You are entitled to a 30-minute paid lunch break and two 15-minute tea breaks (morning and afternoon).
In addition to your normal hours of work, should you need to work overtime, you will be paid at Time & a Half Rate. If you are required to attend a job prior to 8.30am and need to travel to the job, you will be paid at Normal Time rate for the time excluding the first half hour of the journey.
Fire & Security Service Engineer (On Call)
You will be required to attend Out of Hours Emergency Calls, being on Call for one week in five, commencing on a Friday evening at 5pm through until the following Friday morning at 8.30am.
You will receive an On Call Day Allowance of £30.00 Monday - Friday & £50.00 Saturday & Sunday, as well as being paid Time & a Half for the duration you are out of the house. Currently, we operate a 1 in 5-week Call Out Rota.
