Leads a team of engineers to develop the overall architecture for an optimised end-to-end CFD process. Collaborates with stakeholders across aerodynamic development, CFD correlation, and CFD methodology to understand work-flow requirements and opportunities to maximise efficiency and knowledge extraction. Works with hardware, software, process, and IT engineers to develop technical solutions for the CFD workflow using the latest technologies integrated into the wider digital workspace. Works closely with the Head of CFD and other key senior leadership to define longer-term strategies for the CFD pipeline and toolkits. Our ideal candidate is someone who has:
A strong background in CFD methodology and Software Development. Previous leadership experience in a technical environment, with F1 being highly preferable. A minimum of 7 years technical experience in an industrial role. Proven track record in delivering solutions across an entire CFD workflow. Application experience in OpenFOAM and ParaView. Experience with Linux systems and services, HPC. Coding experience using Python, C#, and Linux shell scripting. Familiar with software best practices, containerisation, micro-services. Experience in Agile working environments, CI/CD and PRs, ideally using Azure DevOps. Experience of Agile working practice, preferably the scrum framework. What can Williams offer?
