As an Electrical Manager as part of our successful and dynamic Trade Services Team, you will be responsible for the management of a medium size electrical team and an established set of contractors. They complete electrical repairs, electrical testing, domestic and commercial electrical improvements, fire alarm testing maintenance and repairs, PATS testing and access control repairs and maintenance, within our Housing, Corporate and Operational buildings. As the Electrical Manager, we require you to have the following qualifications and experience: Qualifications

Construction or Social Housing experience essential City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Installation (or equivalent) City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection) BS7671:2018 – Wiring Regulations 18th Edition CITB SSSTS (or equivalent) Current driving licence Experience

Good working knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act Proven track record of supervising a team within an electrical maintenance environment Previous experience of managing/prioritising a varied/demanding workload Previous experience of managing registration to the NICEIC Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with Operatives, Sub-contractors and Client Officers Knowledge of standing orders and procurement regulations IT literate with advanced excel capability (pivots/graphs/formulae etc.) Experience in delivering presentations to senior management team Ability to run training in relation to Electrical safety to both technical and non-technical staff As part of your duties, you will be asked to review the existing service delivery, with the aim to implement new strategies to ensure that Swindon Borough Council assets are maintained to a high standard within available resources. You will also be asked to work with both residents, tenants, Councillors and the Health and Safety Executive both face to face and at meetings, reporting findings and delivering presentations in relation to Electrical Safety. You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
