Telford, Shropshire, United Kingdom Building on our entry to Construction training, the Sales Director (Construction) will hold a strategic leadership role focused on Training and Competency, specifically targeting construction-based companies. This individual will be responsible for new business development, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of TTC’s core training and competency solutions. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of Synergie Training to align strategies and build synergies across offerings. Key Responsibilities Build a strong pipeline of new and strategic construction sector accounts, emphasizing large companies with compliance needs or training requirements. Develop and implement strategic account plans for each client to drive incremental revenue growth in partnership with the Director of Synergie Training. Identify, engage, and establish partnerships with key stakeholders within the construction industry to create mutually beneficial alliances and leverage complementary services for market growth. Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations, including C-suite executives, ensuring TTC’s solutions align with and support their strategic initiatives around risk, compliance, and training. Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders, demonstrating a strong understanding of commercial dynamics, strategic value propositions, and the construction industry’s unique requirements. Deliver business proposals, manage contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the process. Establish TTC as a leading voice within the construction industry by engaging with key industry organizations and stakeholders such as the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), National Federation of Builders (NFB), and Construction Plant-hire Association (CPA). Actively participate in forums with the Director of Synergie Training to enhance TTC’s positioning. Shape and influence solution development by introducing TTC’s thought leadership to prospective clients. Act as an ambassador for the business, representing TTC at key events and forums within the construction sector. Collaborate with the Director of Synergie Training to showcase TTC’s expertise in competency development. Ensure all sales activities, client interactions, and outcomes are effectively reported and managed through the CRM system (HubSpot), setting an exemplary standard for the broader sales organization. Strategically identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across TTC’s suite of solutions and communicate these value propositions effectively to key client accounts. Core Competencies and Skills Able to see the broader picture, recognizing how TTC’s solutions can align with and enhance clients’ long-term strategies within the construction sector. Skilled in building strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. Experienced in engaging C-suite executives and senior industry leaders. In-depth understanding of the construction industry and its evolving needs around training, compliance, risk management, and sustainability. Capable of understanding and strategically discussing the training market, including the complexities and opportunities involved in training and competency development. Highly commercial and financially astute, capable of developing compelling business propositions and articulating ROI for strategic clients. Demonstrates leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and guide colleagues within the broader sales organization. Capable of representing TTC confidently within industry forums and client meetings.
