Chartered Building Surveyor (or a candidate 6 months away from sitting their APC) to join their prestigious Building Surveying team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects for high-profile clients, including private investors, institutions, and corporate entities. Whether you are recently qualified, progressing towards senior status, or approaching final APC assessment, this role provides excellent scope for professional growth within a supportive, collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Deliver a mix of professional and project-based surveying services for investor and corporate occupier clients, handling portfolios ranging from single assets to large-scale projects. Take ownership of projects in roles such as Lead Consultant, Contract Administrator , and Employer’s Agent. Undertake the preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiate on behalf of landlords and tenants. Conduct PPM surveys , defect analysis, and building surveys for investment or occupational purposes. Collaborate across departments to grow business relationships and opportunities, consistently exceeding client expectations. Work with Quality Management Procedures , ensuring professional standards and timely project delivery. What You’ll Need to Succeed We’re looking for candidates who are: MRICS-qualified

with at least 1–2 years of post-qualification experience. Candidates approaching their

final APC assessment with solid experience will also be considered. Highly skilled in managing a variety of professional and technical building surveying instructions independently. Proficient in roles such as Contract Administration, Lead Consultant , and Employer’s Agent on refurbishment or fit-out projects. Experienced in the preparation of technical documentation, including dilapidations, schedules of condition, and defect reports. Confident in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating with clients at all levels. Experienced in using AutoCAD (advantageous) and MS Office tools. Personal Attributes The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing competing deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term client relationships. Strong business acumen and a professional, confident demeanor. A valid driving license .
