We are working with a manufacturing client in Redditch who, due to massive growth, are seeking a Tooling Engineer to join their existing team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Key Responsibilities of the Tooling Engineer will include but not be limited to: The manufacture and maintenance of press tools, jigs, and fixtures. Utilising traditional toolroom equipment and operating Wire Erosion/EDM machines. Maintaining a safe working environment within the toolroom. Programming and operating EDM machinery using CAD programs. The ideal candidate for the Tooling Engineer will have the following Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably automotive or aerospace. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. CAD experience - any package. Be PC literate. Have good verbal and written communication skills. Have good attention to detail. Manual machinery - Bridgport, grinding, etc. experience. Have a minimum 4-5 years' work experience within a tooling environment. Hold a relevant Manufacturing/Engineering qualification or have considerable practical experience in a similar environment. In return, the Tooling Engineer can expect to receive a competitive salary and package, work a 39-hour week with flexible start times between 6 and 8.
