JOB PURPOSE We are seeking a Platforms Engineer (Mobile Apps) to join our Technology Platforms Delivery group, with experience in managing deployments through 3rd parties, driving & explaining delivery of mass scale service provider connectivity Android & iOS App, Web, Care and related microservices / APIs in an ecosystem (home gateway, video STB, WiFi mesh) and complementary services with high quality and in a timely fashion.

In this role, you will:

Overall, you will champion deployment overseeing its success and enable LG to provide a best-in-class in-home OneConnect experience.

Maintain relationships with our markets, internal LG teams and driving technology partners, keeping well-informed, and guiding the deployments to ensure that LG’s interest can be upheld.

Ensure & Analyse the success of Android & iOS App, Web, Care and related microservices deployments, ensuring that business requirements are met & delivered via our key technology partners and ensuring our broader connectivity eco-system is in mint condition.

Align with LG Architects on the demand architecture vs technology partners execution of our strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Connectivity deployment Subject Matter Expert, overseeing new release trial and deployment for OneConnect ECO-system across multiple markets.

Accountable to ensure performance & quality delivered by driving technology partners is performant, of high quality and is deployed timely with minimal customer impact.

Deep understanding of Mobile App Environment & implementation, not limited to trial and rollout phases.

You are the authority within LG who has the up-to-date view both from driving technology partners and across all markets what has been, is being deployed in markets.

Contribute to the delivery demand and design stages by providing telemetry requirements to enable data driven decision.

Ensure that deliveries meet the defined criteria at the various gates: technical & environment readiness, product readiness, quality, documentation & reports.

Attend or organise the relevant meetings to oversee deployment activities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with our market partners, our suppliers, and the other departments within LG.

Proactively identify and mitigate deployment risks.

Champion and evolve data driven decision making through the enhancement of telemetry and data analysis.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Proven experience with the delivery of sophisticated technology projects and test, certification and system integration activities in the telecommunications, cable, and/or media industries.

Proven track record with Software development and related project delivery activities.

Deep knowledge in de-bugging, troubleshooting and analysis of sophisticated software systems.

Data analytics with skills on data visualization tools such as Kibana & Grafana.

Knowledge of and Experience in Deployment and Change Management.

Substantial technical knowledge in successfully deploying Android & iOS applications, Microservices & APIs.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Effective interpersonal skills, fluent spoken and written English – ideally other European languages.

Experience with working in an international, diverse, and distributed team environment.

Collaborative working style, successfully across national boundaries.

Self-motivated and proactive in the working environment; shown ability to work with speed and accuracy to deadlines is essential.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level or equivalent in a STEM subject.
