The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our talented Technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our cloud DevOps strategy, ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, manage deployments, and mentor junior team members to enhance our operational capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions that support our messaging platform. Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless software deployments. Ensure cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices in DevOps. Conduct system performance assessments and improve operational efficiency. Mentor and guide junior engineers in cloud and DevOps practices. Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that complement our cloud strategy. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Extensive experience in cloud environments, preferably with Microsoft Azure. Expertise in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates. Strong knowledge of container orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and application deployment strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Desirable Qualifications: Experience leading DevOps practices and guiding teams in a cloud-first environment. Knowledge of cloud security best practices and industry standards. Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions like Datadog, ELK Stack, or Grafana. Previous experience in agile methodologies, particularly Scrum or Kanban.
