Basingstoke (BSN01), Bracknell (BRA01), Birmingham (BIR23), or Stevenage (STE04) The Tooling Technical Specialist will work in a small team as part of a large programme to provide specialist implementation support and services for the network management systems. Activities will include understanding design updates for new changes, implementation, configuration, and testing to deliver medium to high complexity work packages as part of customer delivery projects. This role involves understanding RedHat Enterprise Linux & subsequent NMS Applications, a standard MPLS network, Ethernet Access Links, and a good understanding of Juniper and Cisco product sets. The successful candidate will have a broad technical knowledge of VMware, Cisco, and SevOne tools. Your role will involve: Management of VMware SMARTS Event management systems Management of VMware NCM Configuration management systems Management of SevOne Performance Monitoring systems Management of Cisco ISE system for controlling access to Network devices Liaise with NMS Architects for design updates, development, and patch testing Implementing technical changes and ensuring good Service Handover (including handover documentation) Able to work under pressure, team-working, and sharing knowledge between team members Learning and applying recently gained skills to solve technical problems Please note: It’s still worth applying even if you do not meet all the requirements above.
