Identify and investigate security threats, incidents, anomalies or unexpected activities within the IT systems of our organisation and customers. Monitor, triage and investigate alerts on our protective platforms. Interpret logs and reports for potential intrusions, security threats or breaches. Provide stakeholders and customers with relevant incident reports. Lead on the approaches used to investigate incidents and oversee or implement the relevant resolution. Support customers in the analysis of security event data and alerts. Provide advice to other areas of our organisation on new services. Identify and report real-time attacks and vulnerabilities. Provide an on-call service in response to security and technical issues. Mentor, train and manage the work of our Practitioner Analysts. Qualifications and Skills

With a formal Cyber Security qualification and BTEC, NVQ level or its equivalent in IT, Cyber Security or a related subject, you’ll have advanced IT skills and well developed practical experience of working in an IT Security role. Capable of using a variety of tools to manipulate and interpret data, your superb communication and interpersonal skills will make you an inspirational and motivated team worker. Tenacious, imaginative, ingenious and passionate about your work, you’ll possess a good understanding of threat intelligence and assessment, and be capable of bridging the technical and non-technical. A deep knowledge of networks, specifically Firewalls and other security devices would be desirable, as would membership of a relevant professional body. Benefits
