Adherence to safety procedures and participation in safety initiatives. Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, improve and maintain high quality, fit-for-purpose, reusable, and maintainable solutions according to set standards and processes within the allocated time and with a minimum of rework. System incident resolution according to set service level agreements. Troubleshooting, monitoring, and status reporting. Interacts with the business, suppliers, and contractors as technical advisor to discuss software solutions. Applies corporate and departmental standards, policies (testing, validation, change control, disaster recovery and incident/problem management) and rules. Callout service including scheduled standby and after-hours support / escalation as and when required. Documentation such as Design Documentation, Training manuals, Functional specifications and technical specifications. Attend production operational meetings / Change Advisory Board meetings and other meetings as and when required. Acquire knowledge of plant and/or business processes in allocated area of responsibility. Risk management to reduce the Risk Exposure for the company. Self-education in terms of relevant current best practices, technologies, trends, and events. Reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for ArcelorMittal South Africa. Drive Digital Transformation through the deployment of relevant technologies, challenging the status quo. Qualifications

National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Science. Experience and Requirements

Minimum 18 months relevant experience in the development, integration and support of information systems in a Production Automation, Manufacturing Execution or similar environment. Knowledge of production automation systems. Must be able to demonstrate successfully completed, value adding software development projects. Skilled and experienced in some of the following software environments: Development and design within a Microsoft SQL database environment (T/SQL). Development and design within an Oracle database environment (PL/SQL). Git repository management. Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. Understands the essentials of system integration and inter-system communication (API, Middleware, etc.). Web development (API, Web Forms, Blazor, Bootstrap). Relevant experience in developing in Visual Studio (C#, VB, ASP). AspenTech InfoPlus.21 (IP21). Skilled and experienced in the following processes: Incident Management. Change Management. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving. Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle and solution analysis. Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) related to systems and processes. Exposure to Agile System Development and Project Management processes. Working knowledge of MS Office range of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Personal Attributes
