opportunity to join our team as a

Distribution Administrator ! In this role, you'll be responsible for undertaking desktop surveys for buried services information (usually covering buried pipe and cable assets), owned by both external utility companies and Network Rail. You'll then support the distribution of these surveys to interested parties within the business. These survey packs help support the effective delivery of design activities, maintenance work and safe construction practices across the national railway network. You will research utility information using mapping applications and websites, liaising with our customers and external utility companies to help create and maintain an up-to-date picture of buried utility assets present on, or near, the railway. You will be part of a team working in a busy and agile working environment. The ideal candidate will:

Have a proven ability to work independently and systematically to deliver for customers, within set deadlines. Possess effective communication skills and a willingness to help us improve our services. Have a keen eye for detail and the confidence to question the accuracy of information that's in front of them. Be a confident self-starter with IT systems and applications, demonstrating a good level of experience with Microsoft Office software and PDF-related applications. Be able to display knowledge and experience of reading and interpreting maps to navigate to physical locations and identify objects of interest. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support in the delivery of our services. Essential criteria:

GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work systematically and meet deadlines. Desirable criteria:

A level or equivalent qualification, preferably in a numerate discipline. Knowledge of asset and information management. Experience of GIS or similar tool. Company
