The position holder is responsible for the strategic positioning of Bosch in the UK and Ireland across all communication channels and government affairs. He/she is responsible for creating, expanding, and implementing an effective communication strategy based on the overall Bosch Communication and Government Affairs Strategy for all external and internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on, highly proactive, and strategic role. Stakeholders include media, content-generating Internet users, associates, and connection to regulators, legislative and political entities/associations. The role is an integral part of the local leadership team of Bosch overall, consulting and advising all local Bosch representations/entities on all matters of corporate communications and governmental relations. Lead several core disciplines of communication and stakeholder management, including media relations, event management, corporate brand management, marketing communication, internal communication, digital communication, leadership communications, corporate citizenship, crisis communications, change communication, policy analysis, political monitoring, and industry and political stakeholder engagement. Leading a team, defining targets, enabling and empowering the team to achieve their goals, supporting their development, and ensuring the success of the team as a whole. Minimum Requirements:

Masters’ degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, World Trade, Law, Economics or Business Administration or comparable. Proven business acumen and experience in communications and/or public/political relations; policy consulting, government policy and industry association experience highly welcome. Strong ability to quickly and effectively navigate between strategic and operational topics, to understand complex environments, make fast decisions and implement solutions swiftly. A strong strategist capable of developing, implementing, effectively steering and tracking the desired outcomes for integrated communication strategies. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead, build and manage relationships through influence, flexibility, diplomacy, trust, and teamwork. Proven ability to understand complex issues and take a thoughtful, systematic approach. Ability to dive deep into technical information to understand the background of new regulations. Ability to communicate efficiently, confidently, and accurately, including public speaking and/or in external meetings, excellent time management and organizational skills. Experience in crisis management and providing leadership and guidance to develop rapid and effective risk mitigation techniques. Experienced, energetic, and self-motivated leader, doer and team player with excellent writing, presentation, and oral communication skills.
