This role is perfect for a detail-oriented Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, who is passionate about working in the defence sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the quality of products and processes alongside suppliers and will have HQ at our Stockport location. Client Details Our client is a renowned entity in the defence sector, experiencing a period of outstanding growth with an order book that is continuously expanding. They are dedicated to delivering best in class quality products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Description As the Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer you will be tasked with the following: Assess supplier performance and conduct supplier audits. Implement corrective actions to address supplier quality issues. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish quality requirements. Ensure adherence to industrial standards and regulatory compliance. Monitor and report on supplier quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs). Manage the supplier quality approval process. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, AQAP 2110 and other industry standards. Profile A successful Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer should have: Quality or Supply Chain Management Qualification (or 5 years experience). A qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline. Full right to work in the UK. Valid Passport and Driving License. Level 2 Paint Inspection. Strong LEAN, CI background. Experience of APQP, PPAP, FMEAs. Excellent influencing and communication skills. Job Offer An annual salary range of £45,000 - £52,000. Pension contributions (4% Employee & 7% Employer). 4x death in service. 25 days holiday. Flexible working/Hybrid options.
