This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and exciting food business, where innovation and passion come together to create outstanding products. With an experienced team and an ambitious growth trajectory, the company is set to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing market.

They are now looking to appoint a Product Development Technician to support the development and delivery of high-quality, delicious products. The Role

Reporting into the Innovation Controller, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the NPD team’s daily activities. You will support the development of new products by working closely with chefs in the kitchen to test recipes and assist with factory trials, making sure all processes are documented accurately. Your keen eye for detail and organisational skills will be essential in tracking product progress, managing data, and providing timely feedback.

In addition to your work in the kitchen and on the factory floor, you’ll support the wider business by managing product information and ensuring that samples are delivered to the right teams. Your proactive involvement in tracking recipe costs, nutritional data, and addressing any technical or project-related issues will help maintain high standards and contribute to the company’s continued growth.

As part of this role, you will also keep an eye on food trends, collaborate with various teams, and generate ideas for future product development. The Person

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual with a passion for food and an eagerness to learn. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a similar role, particularly within food manufacturing.

Additionally, you'll also have experience managing projects and collaborating cross-functionally with teams to ensure seamless product development. A university degree in Food Science or a related field would be a bonus.

You’ll have a creative approach to problem-solving, an excellent eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently across multiple tasks. Strong organisational skills are essential to ensure the smooth running of all product development activities.

If you are keen to develop your career and join a dynamic and growing food business then we’d like to hear from you; apply now or call us on 0345 2600 737 / 07700 137 110 to find out more.
