You’ll help deliver a first-class customer experience to customers with complex security needs. As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll rotate around different areas of the business, discovering where your interests lie. You’ll be working across various platforms and technologies, including Data Centre Servers, Networking, and Cloud-based tools, developing a wide range of skills related to our products. You’ll need to have a business mindset when it comes to process. We always want to improve for our customers, so you’ll be involved in our continuous improvement strategy, using feedback and data to enhance our services. We’ll start you off with key concepts like security, identity, and confidentiality, as well as integrity, availability, threat, vulnerability, risk, and hazard. You’ll also learn about applying relevant laws and ethics, security assurance, and how to apply cyber security concepts to IT infrastructure. This role involves a lot of teamwork; everyone relies on and helps each other to do the best job for our business customers. You’ll manage complex workloads and competing priorities, but we’ll support you to ensure you can handle it. We’ll also contribute to your ongoing development, helping you study for your ITIL V4 certification, in addition to your apprenticeship. This job is available in the Business part of BT. About the apprenticeship you’ll study for As a Cyber Security – Managed Services Apprentice, you’ll study for a Level 4 apprenticeship called Cyber Security and Networking Infrastructure. The course runs for 2.5 years, and you’ll spend 20% of your weekly working hours learning and studying. Entry Requirements You’ll need to achieve (or be on course to achieve) two A-Levels with a minimum of C grades, along with a minimum of five GCSEs at grades 4-9 (C or above), including English and Maths. Equivalent qualifications are accepted. All applicants will need a full UK Right to Work for the duration (2.5 years) of their scheme or they will not be able to apply. Please note, due to the nature of the work we do, some roles may require security clearance. The Early Careers recruitment team will explain this to you.
